Golf sponsorship
My name is Steve Mitchell, I am a professional golfer based at Blackmoor Golf Club in Hampshire
and this year I have been fortunate enough to be sponsored by Just Wood Flooring. To follow is a
list of the tournaments I have played so far this season.
BARTON-ON-SEA PRO-AM 30/04/2008
Barton on sea is a very tricky links course situated on the south coast approx 6 miles from the New Forest.
It is a Par 72 measuring approx 6,400 yards and like all links courses is known for its harsh weather conditions.
With weather conditions not favouring the competitors on the day, Barton prooved to be a good test of golf which
is evident of the scores. 72 (level par) was good enough to clintch the title but I am not dissapointed with a 1 over
73 that earned me a respectable tied 2nd place. This was the first Tournament of the season and the first Professional
Tournament of my career.
