BOEN FLOORS FITTED IN NORWAY’S SECOND EVER STARBUCKS

Just a matter of months ago, the multi-national company Starbucks opened its second ever coffee shop in Norway, choosing Oslo City as its ideal destination. With expectation so high for this new business, the specifications for the interior needed to be spot-on, which is why the company plumped for exceptional quality BOEN floors to be fitted throughout the premises.

The Oslo City Starbucks has been designed in a traditional Nordic style, combining natural wood with the tried-and-tested Starbucks layout and colour scheme. The floors chosen to complement this look were solid oak BOEN floors, laid at an angle, combined with tiles and matching with wood boards on the walls, in the corridors of the coffee shop.

In the main body of the space, solid oak floors from BOEN’s ‘Traditional’ range can be found not only on the floor, but also on the counters and walls. The rustic looking planks have been treated with a natural and very subtle transparent oil, which has been applied using a very special method. BOEN’s experts rub, brush and force the oil into the woodwork, to bring out the natural radiance of the material and to provide the surface with as much protection and wear-resistance as possible.
