HOW TO GO ABOUT CLEANING A PRE-FINISHED HARDWOOD FLOOR (PART 1)

There are going to be many aspects that come together to make your property into the dream home you’ve always wanted. The choice in flooring can really make the difference in one room or throughout the house. However, when you go for something as beautiful as hardwood flooring you need to keep it looking great by cleaning it on a regular basis.

In this article and the following two, we will be considering the cleaning of pre-finished hardwood flooring – which basically means that its polyurethane coating has already been applied to the surface of this elegant flooring solution when you buy it.

Deciding to invest in such an elegant type of floor for your home will not have been taken lightly, so you now need to think carefully about these points if you want to ensure it has a really long lifespan.

To begin with, sweeping the floor with a soft broom will help to remove any dirt or debris on the surface of the floor. The more regularly you do this, the easier it will be as the dirt is not allowed to accumulate and get ground in to the floor. You may also wish to use a light vacuum cleaner to ensure there is no dirt left here whatsoever.
