KEEPING SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES AT BAY

Hardwood flooring can be one of the biggest and most significant investments a homeowner can make, and with so many good quality types of flooring on the market at the moment, the great thing about hardwood flooring is that it can be a long lasting investment.

In order to be able to stand the test of time and look amazing for as long as possible though, hardwood flooring does need to be well looked after.

In addition to ensuring that hardwood flooring is cleaned properly, care needs to be taken in order to ensure that flooring doesn’t suffer at the hands of scuffs and scratches.

Within busy rooms in busy homes, it can be easy for flooring to succumb to scuffs and scratches, although there are some ways in which they can be prevented.

Mats and rugs- placed strategically in areas which are more prone to becoming marked- are great for keeping scuffs and scratches at arm’s length. Placing floor protectors under items of furniture can also really help.

It sounds like common sense, but ensuring that shoes are taken off and kept by the door can also extend the lifetime and looks of flooring 10 fold.

Making the effort to keep scuffs and scratches at bay can make a really positive difference.
