PARQUET FLOORING RESTORATION
We can transform drab and lifeless parquet flooring into a beautiful surface. Do you like your oak herringbone or mosaic design, but constant use resulted in deep scratches? We remove unsightly marks to create an eye-catching feature. Have you removed a carpet and found old parquet flooring, but didn’t think it could be restored? If you need replacement parquet blocks, we will refurbish with products such as hardwood Merbau blocks or reclaimed pine blocks to match accordingly.
After the parquet flooring is sanded to bare wood, we often finish the floors using 3 to 4 coats of Bona Kemi Traffic Lacquer for a non-yellowing finish and extremely durable protection (There are many more options from staining, lacquering, wax and oils). This is a clear natural looking commercial grade polyurethane finish, which has an anti-slip surface and is easily maintained.
WOODEN FLOORBOARDS RESTORATION
Often floorboards do not match because they had previously been hidden under the carpet. Just Wood can make this surface a fine feature. Our floor sanding team removes spots of paint and other imperfections, and repairs damaged boards.
Perhaps your cherished pine floorboards have been a flooring surface for a while and look drab, and need bringing back to life again? After floor sanding, one option (There are many more options from staining, lacquering, wax and oils) is for the Just Wood team to finish the wood with one coat of white oil and one coat of Hardwax oil. You would see the beauty of the knots in the wood and a stunning surface that is easily cleaned. Hardwax oil is a premier product for durability and for a clear natural looking finish – the oils penetrate deep into the wood and protect the surface from dirt spillages and everyday wear and tear.
STRUCTURAL DAMAGE RESTORATION
Unfortunately, a house may suffer structural damage. Here at Just Wood, we can include any structural wood and planks that need replacing in the restoration, before installing high-quality flooring. It’s essential to remember though, before restoration, your room needs to be completely empty, and you should protect furniture in adjacent rooms from dust – it can sometimes be a messy job! Having said that our dust extraction on our machinery is second to none, and we always thoroughly clean up after ourselves.
