WOODEN FLOOR CLEANING PRODUCTS

To keep your wooden floor looking at its best you’ll need to keep on top of its cleaning and maintenance. There are a number of products available that can make the cleaning and polishing of a wooden floor really easy, but it’s important that you use the right products, as using the wrong ones can potentially damage the surface coating.

One of the simplest and easiest ways to remove the dust and debris from a wooden floor is to vacuum the flooring with a soft floor attachment and then mop the floor surface over with a well rung out mop.

There are many specialist floor cleaning solutions available, most of which have a pH level of seven so won’t damage the wood unnecessarily. Some even have added silicone or wood polish within the ingredients so give the floor a flawless finish. Normal floor cleaners, which are not specifically meant for hardwood flooring, will at best leave streak marks across the floor and at worst dull the floor’s finish and leave an oily residue behind, which can be difficult to shift.

If you are proud of your wooden floor, it might be worth contacting a wood floor specialist who’ll be happy to suggest suitable products to keep your floor looking like new.
