KARELIA HARDWOOD FLOORING

Karelia specialises in engineered wood flooring and is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of this type of floor. They also have a huge range of solid wood flooring, structured wooden floors and beautiful oak flooring.

Karelia’s engineered wood flooring is made to strict production requirements which means that the traditional qualities of the wood are displayed in a high quality floor which is not only easy to lay but also simple to maintain.

The uppermost layer of Karelia engineered wood flooring is available in a wide variety of species of beautiful hardwood. The middle layer is a cross-glued spruce giving strength and rigidity to the product and the lower layer is a spruce ply base. The lower layers use only slow grown Nordic spruce so movement is minimised whilst the birch ply base minimises moisture differences and stops movement caused by seasonal fluctuations.

Karelia separates each timber species into three to five categories which is done to distinguish grain pattern and colour. The natural variation of the grain alongside the technical quality of the cut of the wood means that each plank is distinct, but when fitted together creates a thing of natural beauty.

The unique grain pattern on Karelia flooring can lift your home whilst the peaceful ambience created by the flooring can echo your individual lifestyle. This means that this flooring can suit traditional and contemporary homes.
